Stories from the Bay |
The reef at south Reeds Beach has held up well through this winter. We inspected the reef today at low tide and found it to be in terrific condition given the assault of storms and bay ice. In addition to the overall condition, the resident oysters appear to have fared very well. The inner section of the reef is covered in small oyster spat which seem to have grown since our fall assessment ended. We will more thoroughly report on the reef’s success once we complete our spring assessment in early April.
